The Station

A historic building, modernized for the Gallatin Chamber of Commerce.

A historic bow-truss building, once the turnaround point for an electric street car, modernized for the Gallatin Chamber of Commerce.

Originally built in 1898 as duplex, we were inspired by the urban, pedestrian focused density from another era. We challenged ourselves to work with the existing structure to find a new urban density, clustering 4 single-family condos on a single city lot while maintaining the historic character of the neighborhood.

The structure required a complete restoration. Our team was proud to partners with dozens of Nashville artist and craftsman to blend modern touches with century-old texture. A few elements include 16 foot ceilings, American grown white wide-plank oak floors, American made steel fixtures, and cast iron tubs. During the renovation process, we unearthed a civil war era cannonball, gunpowder intact.
